Chirashi sushi. A good way to remember this name is that it sounds like "trashy" as my dear friends kept reiterating during dinner.
I did appreciate that they incorporated one or two slices of not so common sashimi, such as herring roe (kazunoko).
The sashimi was off to the side, as opposed to on top of the rice.
I liked that it wasn't all salmon and tuna, but a few pieces had those hard to chew spots and some still had that frozen taste.
Would I return? I'd probably sooner go to the Sushi Tei in Thornhill. Kind of far and the sashimi wasn't terribly impressive. Points for the herring roe though. That's my favourite type of sashimi.
Total damage: $20.
