Snowboarding Food 5

Knowing that I had a full day of snowboarding ahead, I went and got myself a ham and egg biscuit sandwich from Tim Horton's. Will and Simon looked shocked, then disgusted at my order.
It's less greasy than the McBisuit at McDonald's, but I'm addicted to the sausage and egg at McDevil.

Brownies at Blue Mountain.
These were actually pretty good. Dense, sweet, and a nice variety in a box. There's enough to share... or not. :P

We finished the day off with some uptown Xe Lua pho (106-330 Highway 7 East, Richmond Hill, Ontario).
The broth was full of oil bubbles of flavour. They're open late.

Snowboarding Food 4

A weekend trip to Blue Mountain means snowboarding! And food. Gotta eat!

Beaver Tails at the top of a hill.
A warm, deep-fried, sugary, doughy treat on the slopes? Casey and Simon went for it. I may have snuck a bite as well.

Healthy salad!

To whoever brought the cheesecake: Thank you.

Breakfast time!
Tomato soup, grilled cheese, and apple and banana slices. Top it off with a cup of orange juice.

Overpriced fries.

Dinner is shepherd's pie.

And chicken pot pie.

Communal breakfast: eggs, grilled cheese, apple slices, waffles, chocolate chip cookes, and OJ.
Prepared by myself, Jon, and friends.

Casey cutting cheesy garlic bread.

White wine and crab bisque. Or was it lobster bisque.

Casey's chicken. Choy.

Omelette. Looks like Mel's handiwork.

Breakfast sandwich. Esther style.

And that's all for that trip. There was also some champagne, some sparkling wine, and some brownies. There was also bacon, but I didn't get any. :s

Credits to Esther for some of the pictures.

Horseshoe Resort

(1101 Horseshoe Valley Road, Simcoe County, Ontario)

Brownie from the Horseshoe upstairs cafeteria!

I basically got the cheapest thing on the menu ($1.75) that could fill me up (with sugar) because everything is so overpriced when you're at the ski hills.

It actually wasn't sugar overkill, and the size was pretty decent for the price considering the location. The white chocolate shavings were nice.

Also, the all you can eat pasta at Crazy Horse that came with our lift ticket package was way better than I had expected. You go up to the people who fix it up in front of you with your choice of meats, sauces, and vegetables. One of the guys was pretty entertaining. I was expecting cheap crap, but was pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, I either didn't take a picture or can't find one that I took. They also had unlimited nice breads and Caesar salad.

I might actually get the all you can eat pasta and lift ticket package again next season.

Snowboarding Food 3

Spaghettini with sauce:

Awesome, cheapo meal. Sheila and I were pleasantly surprised by the good taste of the Great Value brand sauce. It had mushrooms too! We just picked the one with the least amount of junk ingredients (sulphites, sugar, glucose-fructose). Doesn't look saucy in the picture, but that's just because we were too hungry to mix well.

Belated ASA3 tiramisu cake:

Hacked pizza and wings:
Great wings! Sad at 'no delivery'.

Snowboarding Food 2

That little used ketchup receptacle? Not mine.
This is how a snowboarding day starts (when everyone gets those McDonald's coupons in the mail).

Snowboarding Food

Can't not use McDonald's coupons. Breakfast:

No lunch.

Dinner:

I only finished half of the monstrous serving of chilli cheese fries, but I also had some wings (which I also did not finish). I was warned that the Hickory Dickory Doc flavour was quite salty, but for some odd reason it tasted sweet to me.

Me: Either it tastes sweet, or I'm getting old.
Megan: Nope, it's salty. You're old.
Brandon: It's so salty that it makes the meat taste sweet.
