Hodgepodge of Home Food

Breakfast of champions:
Crumpets were on sale:
They're great from the toaster oven.

This is what happens when I forget that I'm baking cookies:
The bite marks indicate that I ingested some carcinogenic goodness.

I felt like I needed carbs and fruit one morning:
They look happy:
Got creative and this is what I came up with:
Yeah, I'm surprised that I put pineapple in there too. I feel like pineapple and ham usually work though.

French Toast Man Peace

Brown bread French toast? Not so tasty... but at least he looks cool!

Orange-Faced

Saw a fruit carving competition on TV. Thought I might try it. Only had an orange.

Didn't know what to do with the other side, so I made some flower-like thing.

Grapevine as stem:

Maybe next time I'll put the stem on the other side where it belongs.

That was one tasty orange. :D

French Toast Man Evolves!

The thick bread from the Chinese bakery soaks up the wash like nobody's business and makes this creation more eggy than usual. Apple slices are there to cut the sweetness of the fried Nutella sandwich.
I feel like it's missing something...
Pupils!

Insert schoolgirl giggle.

Yet More French Toast People!

After seeing my last French toast man, Sheila decided that she wanted in on the French toast goodness. Bread provided by Sheila.
I decided to do it a bit differently this time. Jon and Kate aren't the only ones who can make twins:

I cut off the crust this time to see if it would make a difference. It didn't really. I guess I'm still in the dark on how to make Hong Kong style French toast. (Hmm, seems paradoxical.) I stirred the maple syrup in the egg wash. Also didn't notice a difference from that. The butter from the pan soaked into the bread a bit too much for my likings, but I don't care because my fried people are so cute that they could be deformed Pokémon. :D

Return of French Toast Man!

Kind of looks like Hong Kong style French toast, no?
Doused in real maple syrup.

Looks pretty regular on the other side though:

He's got a goofy smile just like me! :D

Hee hee hee! *schoolgirl giggle*

Mmm... Nutella flavoured:

This French toast man is basically a Nutella sandwich drenched in a beaten egg and fried in butter, of course.

Play with Food

What can I say? I'm 12.
I didn't mean for this to look like a face with an apple in its mouth; it just did.

I could not stop giggling while making this guy - this delicious peanut butter and banana French toasted, maple syrup drenched, happy little monster.
