The Keg

905-882-0500
Hours:
Mon - Thurs 3 p.m. - midnight
Fri 3 p.m. - a.m.
Sat 4 p.m. - 1 a.m.
Sun 4 p.m. - 11 p.m.

Andrew wanted to check out the newly built Keg. It basically moved to a different section of the same parking lot that it was in before.

This was the 10 oz prime rib with garlic mashed potatoes that I forgot to take a picture of before I hacked at it.
It was much better than I had expected. The meat was incredibly soft. The dipping sauce was deliciously meaty flavoured. The only negative thing I'd say about the dish was that the onion crisps weren't that crispy, but that may have been because I ate them last. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the food here.

Would I return? Yes. Everyone was quite happy with their food. My aunt said the salmon was very nice and not overcooked, my uncle who ordered the same thing as me was also pleased with the meat, and my cousin said there were nice char marks on his steak.

Total damage: free for me thanks to my uncle and auntie!

The Keg

(905) 882-0500
Hours:
Monday - Wednesday 11:30 a.m. - Midnight
Thursday - Friday 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 a.m.
Saturday 4:30 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.
Sunday 4:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

We went over the summer when they had the lobster summer specials.

Chipotle mac and cheese.
You can barely taste the chipotle, but the cheese on top is awesome. I like how the server came out and put it in the middle as if I was going to share. No, no, it was all for me.

The lobster on the steak was sparse. The steak was okay.

I think the winning dish of the night was the mac and cheese... if only they'd take chipotle out of its name.

Total damage: I don't remember, but not cheap.

The Keg

416-367-0685
Hours:
Mon - Wed 4 p.m. - 1 a.m.
Thurs - Sat 4 p.m. - 2 a.m.
Sun 4 p.m. - 11 p.m.

Baseball top sirloin steak with a baked potato.
I always find that the first few bites of Keg steaks are good, but after the middle, it becomes a chewy mess. I usually get my steaks medium rare.

Total damage: $36.21. I may have also had one or two beers.
