Walking down the streets of this cute, rich-looking town, Jess noticed a bakery. Her being a sucker for baked goods, we decided to check it out.
Cheese bread pretzel.
This was amazing. The dough was so soft and actually had flavour. It also tasted fresh. The sprinkled cheese on top was a nice touch.
Almond horseshoe shaped pastry.
This was also pretty stellar. The pastry was rather soft, and each bite was bursting with almond flavour. It was sweet, but not overbearingly so.
Bread pretzel with seeds
This was just as good as the cheese bread pretzel. Casey actually preferred this one, whereas me and Jess liked the one with cheese better.
Jess also got a macaroon, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
We were so impressed with the initial pastries we purchased that after our walk around the block, we returned to get more (bread pretzel and other things). I was more hesitant about sharing the second time around.
Chocolate drizzled flaky giant pretzel
This was very flaky without tasting dry. I think the flakiness made it messy to eat. It was a lot sweeter than the other items we consumed, but it was definitely tasty.
They also make dog treats. And they have Wi Fi.
Would I return? For sure. The bread pretzels were to die for and the other pastries we had were pretty good too.
Total damage: I can't remember, but it wasn't particularly cheap.
Thanks to Jess for providing some of the pictures, and for appreciating baked goods with me!
Thanks to Casey for driving us to this town so that we could discover this pretty cool bakery!
