Sun Fai

New Sun Fai (505 Highway 7 East, Richmond Hill)

I don't actually know what the name of this place is, but it used to be Sun Fai when it was on Bayview.

Afternoon tea specials are from after lunch until 5 pm. They come with a warm drink.

Coffee:
Beef with vermicelli in soup:
Not bad. The soup flavour was pretty strong. I actually prefer the taste of the meat at the sister Kam Fai restaurant though.

Japanese style toast:
It's mayonnaise, dried pork shreds, and processed cheese on a thick piece of bread all baked. The flavours actually mix well, and the toast is slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Jo enjoyed the thickness of the toast, as did I. It's an interesting idea, but a little pricey at $5.49 on the afternoon tea special menu. Most items on there are $4.99.

Total damage: $9 for noodles, coffee, and half the toast.
