Already tipsy from cheap beer at the Korean restaurant I call Yuna Kim (because I can't remember its name), three of us decide to head on over to RQ Karaoke & Lounge for an obnoxious singing marathon.

How it works: The weekday rate is $90 minimum for a small sized room. The size of the room depends on how many people you have. This means that you can order any food or drink up to $90 and sing for as long as you want. You can always order more than this amount, but anything extra will be added accordingly to the bill.

We went on a Sunday night, which apparently counts as weekday rate.

Tastes good (like lychee), but is sobering. We ordered two of these anyway.

Everything is ridiculously overpriced.

Squid balls

Meh.

Fried tofu.

Dry as hell, but at least they were seasoned.

This is more of a place to kill time and be obnoxiously tipsy rather than a place to enjoy the food and drinks.

Would I return? I don't know... I think there are cheaper options in the neighbourhood that also provide drinks, snacks, and karaoke.

Total damage: $120-ish.
